During the summer, our work is dedicated to welcoming couples and families who come to spend their holidays on the Velvet Beach, while in the rest of the year we offer to business or short-stay clients the tranquillity and the peaceful atmosphere that only seaside towns can give, for quick getaway holidays or business trips.
The CITY HOTEL is located in the heart of the seaside area of Senigallia, directly on the beach, but at the same time a few hundred meters from the historic centre. The hotel is equipped with all modern comforts: all rooms are soundproofed, equipped with air conditioning, safe, minibar, LED TV with free Mediaset Premium channels, hairdryer and free Wi-Fi internet access.
The Hotel has an underground garage (to be booked in advance). In addition our guests can enjoy free bicycles available for the entire stay (we remind you that the bike lane, which runs along the sea promenade, passes right in front of our hotel).
HISTORY
The hotel was built between 1966 and 1967, inspired by the design of the façade of a hotel in Istanbul, and it was one of the first buildings in Italy to feature a panoramic lift.
The original project included:
- A brewery pub
- An outdoor bar
- An exhibition hall
- A shopping mall/arcade, where the famous discotheque was also opened
- A roof terrace
- A winter garden
- A swimming pool
- A congress hall
- A banquet room
- Three internal lifts
- One external lift
The hotel was completely renovated in the years 2000 – 2001, which marked the acquisition by today’s owners. This renovation also included an additional technical floor dedicated to the hotel’s facilities, and a reinforcement of the underground rooms and foundations, with the construction of an underground garage.
The front side of the building was been expanded with the construction of the breakfast room / restaurant on 1st floor and the terrace.
Both the entrance hall and the reception area were completely redesigned, and the rooms were entirely refurnished to the highest quality standards, using precious marble, high-standard furniture and avant-garde materials, integrated with sophisticated finishes and art objects. In fact, the hotel boasts a collection of over 250 original masterpieces, design items and superb vintage decorations.
